Candice Swanpoel's too thin waist

Swanpoel's too thin waist
My favorite Victoria's Secret Angel, Candice Swanpoel looks extremely thin these days. I particularly think her waist is too thin.
People are speculating that it is from the pressure in the modeling industry or that she has eating disorder.
My guess is that she had plastic surgery to remove one of her hip bones to make her waist look smaller. I have heard of that kind of procedure.
Her waist looks thinner than that of a couple months ago, and a human's waist cannot get this thin from just working out intensively in the core. She had ZERO fat in the abdominal area to begin with anyway.
Some are saying that her position as the angel is on the verge. Well, if she really pulled some bones, I don't think it is reversable. If you look at the Victoria's Secret's website or catalogues, you see more pictures of hers than anybody else's. Let's see what happens.

Swanpoel's perfect waist

Irina Shayk's scary lips

I talked about how much I like the Sport Illustrated swim suit issue, yet how I did not like the covergirl Irina Shak's too done lips and breast. It loos like she enhanced her lips even more. they look scary. She has hard time opening them. I think she would look a lot prettier with her natural lips although I do not even know how thin her lips look. Neverthless, her lips look so plastic an nobody likes them. I mean, just look at them. Are you kidding me? These are supposed to look sexy? No, They look scary. They are a spook's lips.

Sharapova lost. Yeah!

Azarenka and Sharapova in Maimi, 2011

If I have to name one tennis player I do not like, that would be Maria Sharapova.
She lost in the finals in Miami. Whenever she loses, I am happy no matter who the opponent is.
Her game is very boring. She screams to the top, hits hard, and fixes her straight long-hair. There is no dimentions or techniques in her game.
Kournikova at US Open, 2002
She almost never hits overheads. How could she not hit such shots and still be ranked as high? She was once ranked as No.1. I am not a fan of Azarenka, but her outfit reminds of the one Anna Kournikova was weaing at the U.S Open in 2002.
I know people think Sharapova is the new Kournikova, or actually better because Sharapova won many tournaments and Kournikova never did. However, Kournikova's game was a lot smarter than Sharapova. Kournikova hit the balls quite hard, but she had techniques too- the touch of the drop shots, sharp backhand down-the -lines, never-missed overheads, selection at the net. As far as the looks, Kournikova was so much prettier than Sharapova. Sharapova is improving, but not quite there and probably never will be. She tries, but I can see she is working really hard to look hot. And does anyone know how tall Sharapova is? She is 6 feet and 2 inches. That is one giant woman. Kournikova is 5 feet 8 inches. She is a model type. Just look at the pictures below. The difference is obvious.

Hingis Lately

I talked about how I miss Anna Kournikova not long ago.
Martina Hingis, Who used to play a lot of doubles with Kournikova, is now married. This happened in December 2010, but I was not aware of it until today.
Hingis won five Grand Slam titles by the age of 18, and held the world's No.1 ranking for over 200 weeks. She was forced to retire at the mere age of 22. Ironically, the same age Kournikova retired. After she made a comeback in 2005, she made it to the top 10 in the world ranking. After failing on the drug test for cocaine, even that she claimed that she never consumed such substances, she retired again.
So, who is the broom? His name is Thibault Hutin, a 24-year-old show jumper. I googled his name on the Internet, but the only things that came up were news articles reporting Hingis' marriage to him. what is show jumper by the way? Show jumper is a person who rides on a horse and jumps several obstacles but if he was successful in that sport, he would have some online articles or wiki page about him.
Wow, talking about Hingis' low-life. She accomplished so much in tennis, is it as if there is no one who has career that is compatible to hers? At lease Kounikova is dating a succesful singer, Enrique Iglesias.
Maybe Hingis will come back to tennis. When she retired for the first time, she repeatedly said she had no plans to play competitively again. She is only 30. She played legend doubles with Kournikova at 2010 Wimbledon. I miss her smart tennis. kournikova and Hingis, please come back.

Hantuchova Wins Doubles

Daniela Hantuchova and Agnieszka Radwanska won the doubles title at Sony Ericson Open in Miami.
I think Hantuchova is the closest "Next Kournikova." Hantuchova is skinny, quite photogenic, plays amazingly good tennis occasionally.
I think Hantuchova is considered somewhat more successful than Kournikova because she is not retired yet, and she has won singles titles unlike Kournikova.
Both Kournikova and Hantuchova are mentally weak. I have seen Hantuchova cry dring matches. Kournikova often played great tennis in a match, and then suddenly collapsed and lost.
I sometimes wonder what it is like to play doubles with Hantuchova. I would not be able to focus on the match (not that I would ever have an opportunity to play with her) when she looks to me in the eyes to discuss the strategy. Her big green eyes would attract all my attention. Her silky brunette hair swings perfectly as she plays, my eyes would be on it. Her long legs sometimes even look annoying to her. No, I actually do not want to play doubles with her. I consider myself decent looking, but if I ever stand next to her, I would just be a tool that would make her shine even more.

Federer's Era Might be Over

The old days of King Roger Federer is over.
There used to be years that he only lost 6 or less matches in the whole year. This year, it is only now April, yet he lost 4 matches already. He lost to Rafael Nadal in the Semi final in Miami.
If you know the years that Federer used to dominate the tennis world, he was just undefeated. He was the King. He elegant, calm tennis attracted a lot of population around the world. He looked like a robot that never makes an error. No matter how good of a shot the opponent hit, he hit back even a better shot.
Now, he is ranked third in the world. While it is still good, it is not good in Federer's standard. He must be very annoyed by the comments that put a lot of expectations on him.
"I don't fee like I'm 35 like you guys make me sound like I am,' Federer recently said during a press conference.

Roger and Mirka Federer
He used to be perfect, except his wife, Mirka. I do not think he is a particularly handsome man but with his fame and success, he could have gotten any woman he wanted. Yet, Mirka is fat, and unattractive. She looked ok before Federer won his first Grand Slam title in 2003 and after that, Federer spent all his prize money feeding her, causing her to plump way before her pregnancy. Well, he added something besides his woman to the list of his imperfectness - his tennis.

Kournikova Lately

Kournikova, in her teen

What is happening with Anna Kournikova lately?
At the age of 16, she became a semi-finalist at Wimbledon. At 17, she won the Australian Open doubles.  She was no doubt, the most popular tennis player from 1997 to 2003, which is the year she retired from professional tennis at the mere age of 22. There have been many "next Kournikovas," but in my opinion, no one compares to her. She was pretty without any makeup, and she had super-long blonde hair that swung with her. She wore short skirts to show her long, tanned, and perfectly-shaped legs. She had a big mouth at the press conferences. I miss her; I really miss her. Yeah, I know, she never won a singles title, blah blah blah, true, but she was ranked as high as eighth in singles and first in doubles in the world. That is pretty good. She was marketed perfectly. A Poor Russian who came to the United States at the age of 10, made it as a tennis player, and earned millions of dollars in endorsements. There were always rumors about her boyfriends. She made a lot of errors but made amazing shots. Her fans, who were usually relatively young men, filled the stadium when she played. When she practiced, people gathered around as if she was a movie star.
So, what is my Anna doing lately? She plays occasional exhibition tennis matches with her overly-bleached hair and too-skinny legs. Her news that made the headline on March 28, 2011 was how her long-time boyfriend is not ready to become a dad; therefore, she is not pregnant. I miss her old days. Come on, that is news?

Kournikova lately
I know her old days will never come back. She will never play tennis competitively. People will never give as much attention to her as during her peak years. I still miss her. I hope the real next Kournikova will show up someday.

Bryan Brothers Lose at the Second Round

Bryan Brothers
Bob and Mike Bryan, better known as Bryan Brothers, lost at the second round of Sony Ericsson Open, a two-week tennis tournament held in Miami. The world's two highest ranked doubles players complement each other very well. Being identical twins is a big advantage when it comes to communication and trust issues, one of the most important aspects in playing doubles. One is right-handed, the other is left-handed, so they have great court coverage. They are known for their jumping chest bumping when they win.
The tournament is said to be the fifth Grand Slam, considering the fact that this is one of only two tournaments that run two weeks, instead of one, besides the Grand Slam events.
If you have ever watched their match, you would think that they are playing magic. The balls just go towards them, like magnets. You might even wonder if it is ever possible to defeat them. Well, after all, they are humans and they do make mistakes.

Farmers Forced to Shut Down Business Due to Radiation Fear

Here is an story about one Japanese worker at a chicken farm. I found a news article online.

Approximately 100 thousand hens are still alive and possibly laying eggs. A 55-year-old former worker of the chicken farm in Tamura city, located near Fukushima Daiichi power plant, where the nuclear explosion took place in the aftermath of the earthquake on March 11. Due to the people's increasing concern for radiation affected food, the eggs from the farm were no longer making their ways to people's tables. The farms was forced to shut down a few days later.
" I feel bad, but there is nothing we can do other than leaving them to dead. We want to transport them, but there is no gasoline," the worker said.
Even after the evacuation notice, his "work comes first" motto kept him home. Although many of the nearby farms had substantial loss from the quake, his farm was not deeply affected. "The orders for eggs were increasing, (than before the quake)" he said.
However, as the news reported the severity of the nuclear explosion, the orders for eggs ceased. He showed up at work and threw away the eggs with tears in his eyes. Otherwise, "Hens would remember to eat the eggs," he said. he also kept practicing the janitorial work to prevent the hens from acquiring the bird flu.
Soon after, the farm was forced to shut down. The factory that produced the feed for the hens was impacted by the Tsunami. "There was not even one broken dish inside," he said with sorrow. He is not at the evacuation site.
Dirty dishes lay in the kitchen inside his home. He doesn't even have energy to clean them. "When can I go back home? Will I ever be able to?" he asks himself.
"After the earthquake, the first thing that I worried about was the nuclear pollution and that is still all I worry about," he said with anger and frustration.

Miranda Kerr is already on the Runway

Two months after giving birth to her giant baby boy, she is already back to work, like she needs money to feed her son.
I have noiced her super flat belly when she was spotted outside her son's pediatrician's office on his check-up day.

Of course, she is looking stunning. Not that she did not look great during pregnancy, but she just is incredibly beautiful. I know all models get back to work immediately after having babies, and they should be in shape shortly after giving births because they get paid millions of dollars for that, but in my opinion, she just did a great job. Heidi Klum came back to the runway two months after having baby but honestly, I did not think she looked great. No offense to Klum, she still did a good job considering she had more than one baby, and she was a lot older than Kerr. But anyway, good job, Miranda, I really wish I could be you.

Japan's Earthquake

It was a little past midnight on March 11, as I was on the phone talking to my mother in Japan, she screamed, "earthquake!"
She quickly turned the TV on, saw the images of cars and houses swept away by water like toys.
Japan gets hit by earthquakes frequently. Born and raised there, I have experienced earthquakes more than I can count. Still, at 61, my mother claims this earthquake was the biggest one she has ever been in.  Her town, Nara, is located about 370 miles from Sendai, the epicenter of this quake.
Out of all the videos on the Internet that I have seen, reporting the tragedy of the quake,  I think this one best portrays the severity of the incident .

As an environmentalist, I truly believe in the importance of the need to decrease world's population massively. We are the biggest pollution to the earth and I am a cold person. So, when I hear about the causalities in the news whether they are from catastrophes or wars, unless they affect my family or somebody important to me, I do not feel any sympathy and I was feeling the same way about this earthquake. However, after watching this video and other images of the quake's aftermath, it made me teary, and all my heart goes out for the victims and their family. My family is ok, but this could have happened to them. I am truly blessed that I have food in my fridge to keep me from hunger, but I might not have that luxury tomorrow if a quake hits the area I live in.
When the biggest earthquake from my experience hit Hyogo prefecture on Jan. 17, 1995, I was 11 years old. I was too little to understand the real tragedy and the consequences. The Sendai earthquake, even though I was not there to physically feel the tremble, it made me realize how fragile our lives can be. I will pray for the people's recovery and the continued psychological support from their family.

Miranda Kerr Is Already Back into Her Usual Slim Figure

I talked about how super-slim Miranda Kerr gave birth to a almost 10-pound baby.
Only about six weeks later, she is already back into her pre-baby figure! How could this be?

How does she do that? Where is the stomach? I want to know the secret! That must be Victoria's Secret's angel's secret.  What happened to the fat you stored during pregnancy for the baby? Maybe she never stored any fat in the first place.
Her outfit is not so super-modely, that is the only flaw I can find in this picture.
She must have added something to her resume today- gorgeous, famous, tough, and capable of shedding all the baby fat in six weeks even the baby weighed 10 pounds.

Let's Take the Tri-Rail and Go Green!!

The gas price is going crazy because of what has been happening in middle east recently. I live in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and I go down to Boca Raton twice a week, Fort Lauderdale once a week, and Miami once a week. From Palm Beach Gardens to Boca Raton is about 35 miles, to Fort Lauderdale, 55 miles, and Miami, 90miles. I have to fill up my tank twice a week, each time costing me over 50 dollars. So, if I take the train to Boca Raton, the fare would be five dollars round trip. I know my car uses quarter of the tank when I make a trip there, so it would cost me 12.5 dollars in gas.(50/4= 12.5)

I save about seven dollars every trip. Plus I would be putting less mileage on my car, so it helps prolong my car and postpone the need to get an oil change. My tires would last longer. I would have less chance of getting into an accident, so I have less risk of dying or killing others. I will get to do things in the train like reading, studying, and eating. There are so many benefits! The only downside is that you do not get flexibility. You have to go according to the train's schedule. and also, you will have to carry things like your lunch instead of putting it on the passenger' seat. Most of us are lazy but if we consider the environment and our future seriously, we really need to change our views.

Sport Illustrated Swimsuit edition

ok, I know I talked about how I love this issue of Sport Illustrated, but I am going to talk about it again today. All the pictures I am posting here, can you believe all these models are acutually naked?

That's right, you may not believe me, but all these girls are not wearing anything. what they are wearing are body paintings of real swimsuits, which would take up to 18 hours each by professional artists. It might be a weird feeling, you are naked, but you don't look naked. As Marisa Miller, the magazine's 2008 cover girl once said in a interview, "you feel the breeze."

Please pay one dollar, or you'll be charged late fee.

The following is a email I received from my school, Florida Atlantic University.
Basically, the email is saying that I was paid one dollar extra by mistake as scholarship, and I need to pay it back as soon as possible in order to avoid any holds and late fees on my account.
Seriously, one dollar! one dollar?
what if I did not check email as frequently as I do? It's not like I paid one dollar short of minimum payment to my credit company, FAU made the mistake!
These days, a dollar can't really buy you anything, but it sure can give you a late fee....

Dalai Lama's nephew dies

Dalai Lama's nephew has died from an traffic accident.
But the awkward part is, that he was hit when he was walking on the highway.
According to the newspapers, he was on "Walk for Tibet" mission from St Augustine to West Palm Beach.
Who walks on the highway? Apparently, the nephew of one of the world's most respected persons, and people in Mexico.

SI Swimsuit is out!!

My favorite magazine of the year, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition is out!

My sister and I both predicted Anne V, who is dating Maroon 5 's front man, Adam Levine, to be on the cover this year.

My second guess on who was going to be on the cover was Irina, the cover girl, even though I am not fan of her overly done lips and breasts. She is dating a soccer star, Cristiano Ronaldo. She made some news headlines when she claimed to have never taken clothes off, even she appeared nude in GQ Spain magazine. She said she was wearing lingerie, and the editor of the magazine photoshopped her to make it look like she posed naked.

My third guess was Christine Teigen, who is currently dating John Legend. She has a gorgeous body, but has the typical giant Thai nose. She is half Norwegian and half Thai. and I really do not believe any Asian would make the cover of Sports Illustrated. Do not sue me for racial discrimination, I AM Asian, I don't think we are that photogenic.

The reasons for these guesses come from the past editions.

The 2010 cover girl, Brooklyn Decker is married to a tennis star, Andy Roddick. Yes, I do admit she is a pretty girl, but she has wide hips or pelvis for a 23-year-old who has never given birth. They kind of look like my hips, which bore two children. Of course, she has way less fat on the belly than mine, if any.

The 2009 cover girl, Bar Refaeli, has been romantically linked on and off with Leonardo DiCaprio since 2005. I like her freckles, hair, and gorgeous blue eyes, although I feel her legs are not long enough for a model and she has a not-so-good boob job .

As you can see, in order to be on the cover, they not only need to be famous and gorgeous, but they also have to have high-profile relationships with famous people.

Even though I did not guess it right, I am still so happy this edition is out. Do not get me wrong, I am not gay. Just like people enjoy beautiful scenery, I enjoy watching beautiful women. They are good on my eyes and also, give me motivation to lose weight.

Former FAU Cop is in trouble!

Jan. 31, 2011, Florida Atlantic University police officer, Jimmy Dac Ho got arrested for shooting an escort. She was flown to Delray Medical Center. Although paralized from wast down, she was in stable condition.
Feb. 3, Ho was found hanging himself in jail. He was in serious condition at Wellington Regional Medical Center located in South West of West Palm Beach.
Feb. 4, the escort dies at the hospital from the gun wounds.
Feb. 8, Ho recovers, and returns to jail

What a drama. If Ho passed away, it would make more drama.
I have been reading a lot of news articles about him, he has a history of domestic violence against his former wife, he was involved in an accident which killed an elderly while on duty at a local police. Even though he was awarded perfect attendance from FAU police, it sounds like he has always been a troubled man.
Why did FAU still hire him, is it because all loser cops are sent to FAU, because they don't really deal with problems that other police jurisdiction deal with?
I hope FAU works hard enough to get their reputation back.

Christina Aguilera Super Bowl 2011 National Anthem Mistake Messes Up Err...

She is an amazing singer, but this is simply unbelievable and unacceptable.
First, I thought, since I do not remember the lyrics of this song, it could happen to anyone especially if one is nervous. Then I thought again. No, this is not possible.
I am not an American citizen. but I do remember the lyrics for my country's National Anthem perfectly.
It's not like somebody taught me in school, but by the time I was in second grade, I had them memorized word by word
Come on, Christina, step up! I know that you just went through divorce, and are probably very frustrated because you can only get not-so-great guys, but singing is what you do for living, and you do that better than most famous singers. And to sing National Anthem at Super Bowl has been your dream since you were little.
Well, you let us down this time by doing something you are normally great at. Maybe next time, you can impress us by doing something you normally suck at- Bring a good-looking, famous guy to a red carpet event.

Today, I am not going to talk about tennis, going green or victoria's secret. Check out this cute baby on youtube. It just makes me smile! If somebody this cute was with me for every dentist visit, that would help me get through painful procedures.

Li Na of China- New Favorite

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPqZj1zz3as

Check out this video of Li Na's  interview after she beat the world's number one,  Caroline Wozniacki at 2011 Australian Open. Even after  a tight match that lasted over two and a half hours, she still does not forget to add sense of humor.

She said she was nervous during the match especially because her husband snored and woke her up every hour the previous night.
When asked what got her through the tough match, after several seconds of pause, she responded, " Prize money."

For your information, I am not Chinese, and I do not particularly cheer for Asians just because I am from Asia, but I do hope she wins the final. Since she has beaten the final's opponent Kim Clijsters in Sydney to win the tournament earlier this month ( Jan. 2011) she has potential to win the Slam. She is not blond, nor gorgeous, but there is something about her that attracts people including myself.

A 28-year-old slow-starter is already making a history. She is the first Chinese (or Asian) woman to reach a Grand Slam final. I hope she will make another history during this tournament.

John Isner, my new favorite

I used to be passionate about tennis more than pro.
so it is kind of a shame to admit that I did not know this good looking player till last week.
His smiles after winning the match knocked me out.

He is 6'9". Tall guys are not my type, but I guess I have zero chance of dating him, so it is okay.
He was seeded 20th at Australian Open 2011.
at age 25, we can call him a slow starter- he played for University of Georgia before being on the tour.
Looking at his tennis on TV, it looked like he has gotten potential.
His tennis is still rough, but he has big serves, killer forehands, and fairly good control over low balls, something tall players tend to be not good at.
I am putting for American tennis in this guy.

Miranda Kerr and her GIANT baby

Victoria's Secret Angel, Miranda Kerr, gave birth to a giant baby boy on Jan. 6, 2011.

It is hard believe that somebody this skinny is even fertile.

The most surprising part is that this baby weighed 9 pounds, 12 ounces at birth. Yeah, I hear stories that people give birth to 10-pound, or even 20-pound babies, but those women normally weigh 200 pounds!

It doesn't appear that she gained 200 pounds during the pregnancy either.
Even more surprising, she did not use any pain medication! She is gorgeous, famous, and tough. This world is so fair!
My first kid weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces, and the second, 7 pounds, 6 ounces. I did not use pain medication either, but I really wanted to die. I cannot imagine how much pain a giant baby like hers would put me through. I understand that she is substantially taller than me, but still, a 10-pound baby delivered naturally by an angel? I'm sure she looked graceful during labor too..........

Narbandian beats Hewitt

Australian Open-
David Narbandian beats Lleyton Hewitt- It was a five-set match. The last set score was 9-7, but the most surprising fact is that this was the Grand Slam's 1st round.

I remember them playing Wimbledon Finals. If they play against each other in the first round, that means one of them is unseeded. Let me go back, oh wait, that Wimbledon Finals was in 2002. Wow, I must have aged...

They have a lot of things in common.

Blond, green eyes, born in 1982.

      Narbandian                                                                          Hewitt

It seems like ages ago when Hewitt dated Kim Clijsters, dumped her, and got engaged to some hot Australian chick after 5 weeks of dating, and knocked her up. It was 2005. I personally did not like Clijsters, even though she is a great tennis player, because she was not just good looking enough for Hewitt.
Now, he is just happily married with 3 kids.

Australian actress Bec Cartwright was Hewit's girlfriend at the stand when he reached Australian open finals, 2005. I remembert the opponent at that final, Marat Safin, also brought some hot red-headed chick to the stand.
Clijsters and Hewitt dated from 2000-2004, even had plans for wedding in 2005.

I miss Hingis and Kournikova, the elegant, skillful tennis with great touch. ( They were also extremely attractive)Now it is all about power game and who can serve 200km/hr.
Today's tennis lack entertainment on-court, as well as off court.

Greener alternative? Earlgrey Tea- Twinings of London Loose Tea

I am a huge tea drinker.
My dentist and hygeniest do not like it, because tea leaves stain on teeth. Especially during the time you wear braces, which is the case for me.
Well, I don't care about what they say, but there is one thing I truly care- Our Environment!
I thought the tea I normally buy was environmentally friendly, since loose leaf means less packaging(no tea bag,) but now I am not so sure, since this is imported from England.
So, I drive to publix, contributing to global warming, but I thought I was minimizing the negative environmental impact I leave on the planet by purchasing this product over others. What do you think? if the tea was grown locally, even if it uses more packaging, is that greener than something that traveled from UK to the U.S??
Right now, this is the only loose leaf tea I can find at local supermarkets.
Oh well, maybe I should grow my own tea leaves in my backyard...
