Check out this video of Li Na's interview after she beat the world's number one, Caroline Wozniacki at 2011 Australian Open. Even after a tight match that lasted over two and a half hours, she still does not forget to add sense of humor.
She said she was nervous during the match especially because her husband snored and woke her up every hour the previous night.
When asked what got her through the tough match, after several seconds of pause, she responded, " Prize money."
For your information, I am not Chinese, and I do not particularly cheer for Asians just because I am from Asia, but I do hope she wins the final. Since she has beaten the final's opponent Kim Clijsters in Sydney to win the tournament earlier this month ( Jan. 2011) she has potential to win the Slam. She is not blond, nor gorgeous, but there is something about her that attracts people including myself.
A 28-year-old slow-starter is already making a history. She is the first Chinese (or Asian) woman to reach a Grand Slam final. I hope she will make another history during this tournament.
